AI is increasingly being used in talent management, with research from the Society for Human Resource Management finding that almost 25% of companies are using AI to support their HR practices, including recruitment and hiring. This is driven by the time and cost savings that AI-driven solutions can offer and the improvements to candidate experience. Indeed, the use of AI and machine learning has opened opportunities for alternative assessment formats that are more engaging, quicker to complete, and less reliant on traditional self-report formats. In this paper, we give an overview of some more novel assessment formats that use AI in their scoring.
